Made in Austin: Fine Clonier Can Remake You in Lego

On this week’s Made in Austin, we learn about the fine art of designing your own custom Lego Minifigs from Kaminoan of Fine Clonier. Over the years, he’s designed over 2000 characters and displays over 700 of them at Maker Faires and other events.

Kickstarter of the Week: Gigabot 3D Printer

Gigabot’s slogan is, “This is huge!” If you’ve ever had a chance to see (or, in my case, fondle) a MakerBot or Cube, you know most 3D printers can only make objects that will fit into the palm of your hand. Gigabot can print up to an incredible two feet by two feet. In the 3D printing world, that’s not just huge, it’s incredible. To put it in perspective, the Cube can print objects about the size of an apple. Gigabot can print objects bigger than the entire Cube.
