Each symposium will showcase a professional speaker and Q&A on topics of core importance to Austin's religious congregations,

This month’s featured presenter is Amanda Robinson,
Coordinator of Texas Interfaith Power & Light, her topic: 
Our Voices Matter: The Importance of Religious Voices in Environmental Justice Work.”

As a state-level advocate working with Faith communities across Texas, Amanda will reveal the common connection of environmental stewardship among all religions, describe how Austin is part of a larger movement, and help us understand ways to be more effective locally and within state government. 
 
We welcome those in faith communities in Central Texas who are interested in linking religious values and spirituality with environmental stewardship concerns to join us for this first symposium of the new year. Please check the IEN website for directions to Congregation Beth Israel.
