Greening Texas Churches

By Chris Searles / Jul 5, 2011

Austin's Interfaith Environmental Network presents, "New Funding Tools for Greening Texas Churches" tonight -- Tuesday, 7/5/11.

WHAT: One hour educational symposium, featuring Amanda Robinson, state coordinator, Texas Interfaith Power & Light.

As a state-level interfaith leader, Amanda helped pass a number of bills this year that support congregations being better environmental stewards.

Newly funded opportunities in energy, food, and social justice can help local congregations make a meaningful difference and have some fun. Check out tonight's session to learn “what went right” in the 2011 Texas Legislative Session and how to use these tools for stewardship. Visit the Austin IEN's info page for more details.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Adults in Central Texas's faith communities interested in linking religious values with active environmental stewardship.

WHEN: 7:00 to 8:00pm, Tue, July 5th, 2011

WHERE: Friends Meeting of Austin
3701 E. Martin Luther King Blvd.
Austin, TX 78745
