OK, Whose Rain Dance Worked?
Well Gov. Rick Perry had everyone praying for rain a few weeks back, and while the weather in Austin flirted with raindrops, it's now come pouring down. (Right after a certain President's visit...) But given that this is Austin, I feel like its just as likely a good rain dance as a powerful prayer. If you know who did it, say thanks from everybody.
But don't forget that things could get rough today. According to the National Weather Service, in additional to severe thunderstorm watch and warning, Austin is also under a hazardous weather outlook: So that means high winds and the possibility of hail in addition to the flooding.
The city of Austin is already warning people to be careful and call 311 about flooding.

On top of that, the city has some driving tips for today on its website, as well as a link to check out road closures if they happen. You can also call the Office of Emergency Management at (512) 974-2000 for road closures.
And if you happen to be out and about in this stuff with a camera, post some pictures for us here at the Austin Post!! Just click "Submit a Photo Gallery" on the top right of our homepage, or post to our Facebook page and we'll add them to our site for you.
But if you're lucky, you'll be watching this all from the comfort of your home.
