Spawned from the popular PBS television show of the same name, the Austin City Limits Music Festival has been entertaining Texas audiences since 2002. From pop and rock to hip-hop and gospel, the three-day annual event presents 130 established and emerging artists on 8 stages.
In addition to supporting the local music scene, the Austin City Limits Music Festival is also committed to reducing its environmental impact. The carbon-neutral festival includes a Rock & Recycle event that offers attendees the chance to win eco-conscious prizes, including a new 2010 Honda Insight hybrid vehicle. In addition, all food and drink vendors are prohibited from using styrofoam and plastic bags. Festival attendees can participate by purchasing carbon offsets or help clean up the park by collecting bags of trash in exchange for a tshirt.
