Was I Smarter than the Local Weather People?

I wrote a post here back on June 11 about El Nino and Central Texas Rain.  The post was about some research I did and about how El Nino might be coming back and how that might fill up area lakes this fall and winter.  Just yesterday, the Climate Prediction Center came out and said that El Nino is back.  Local meteorologist, Susan Vessel, posted on her blog about El Nino coming back and she also talks about rain picking up in our area in September and going through the winter months.

OK, so I'm prbably not any smarter than the local weather folks.  They may have been thinking the same thing I was, but just didn't want to talk about it without confirmation.  But hey, I called it earlier than they did and I'm kind of proud of that.
