Welcome to the Austin Post website!
We're thrilled to have you writers, bloggers, and contributors on board with our venture. Austin Post is going to redefine journalism for the next era, and we're excited that you are pioneering the form with us.
That said, this site is in Alpha. We have lots of ideas and plans for the site, but we also need your help shaping, molding, and growing it, so please send your feedback, comments, questions, and concerns to us at editor@austinpost.org.
As far as getting started on your profile and posting articles, here's what you need to do:
1) Register. Using the links in the upper righthand corner, register your username--this will be how your articles are credited, so take care in selecting it. Check your email for a login link and use it to set your password.
2) Set up your profile. You can upload an image, edit your bio, and add a link to your blog.
3) Post your first article. Using the "Post Articles" link in the upper righthand corner, please post away. While the site won't be live until July 1, the more content on the site when we do go live, the better.
If you have any trouble, feel free to email editor@austinpost.org or call us at (512) 524-6149, ext 4135.
Thanks again for your involvement in Austin Post. We can't wait to read the news you're writing!

it's a sad state of affairs when a website claiming to publish the "best writers in Austin" has no budget to pay those writers. perhaps instead of calling this a "pioneering form" of "journalism" it should be more properly identified as a pathetic attempt to milk mediocre wannabe writers for free content. for more on this topic:

Lyssa - Thanks to you and Austin Post for all of your hard work. I'm so excited to have another forum to share sustainable food recipes and news. I'm looking forward to meeting the other writers and to this great adventure. Thanks for helping redefine media and helping each of us in the community responsible for our news.
