Austin Post V-Day Contest: Two Austin Weird Almost-Seniors in Need of Romantic Holiday

By lois / Feb 11, 2011

Valentine's Day should be an event.  We would like to make it one. My birthday is on Feb. 13 which means I have been consistently ripped off of the joy of  a Valentine's Day experience (kind of like those Christmas babies).  We think Valentine's Day should start early and end late.

All romantic experiences for us would have to start at Flipnotics Coffee Shop.  It is where we met. Just a few blocks away, we would take a casual walk through the Umlauf Sculpture Garden, and if energy and weather permit, we would take a side trip to Zilker gardens just across the road.

Hunger coming on, as one truly can not survive on love alone, dinner becomes a serious priority. Truluck's with the ever present piano providing part of the ambiance will fulfill the last of the five senses that become fully engaged as we delight in the stone crab claws and the orgasmic pleasure of a decadent chocolate dessert. Oooooooooooh so totally yum.  We are left filling full, happy, and complete.

While it is not a gondola in Venice, a romantic trip around downtown in a horse drawn carriage will be an adventure to remember.  A nice warm blanket and a friendly driver will provide a different view of downtown than any we have had in a past hurried attempts to find good parking.

Bringing back memories of our romantic teens (unfortunately spent with others), an old fashioned drive-in movie would be next on the romantic agenda. A vintage speaker car slot at the Blue Starlite Drive-in will fill that bill.  Doesn't really matter what movie is playing, we will make our own memories.

The evening almost over, but yet not complete, will end at an Austin icon---The Austin Motel.  No matter the "sweet" provided, we will make it a romantic one.

Vote for us, and the Austin Post will help pay for our Valentine's Date!

I have been a professional intuitive since 1990. My background and education is in business. When I first started doing consultations I thought that perhaps I would specialize in business but it seemed that no matter how high powered and successful the client, relationship(s) almost always presented the biggest challenges. I soon realized that my true destiny was helping people navigate through all kinds of relationships both personal and professional. Presently, I hold relationship workshops, have relationship support groups, teach intuition classes, and do intuitive consulting (in all matters). Helping people through my work is truly my life purpose. For more information or to ask relationship questions go to my website at www.ask-lois.com. I love answering questions.
