Hear Brandon Rhyder, Eat BBQ and Support Caring Smiles this August 10th
On Tuesday, August 10th, Brandon Rhyder is playing the Back to School Summer Bash 2010 at Duke’s BBQ in Georgetown. The concert and fundraiser help support The Caring Smiles Foundation, which provides dental care for all children thanks to the public’s charitable donations.
Brandon Rhyder is a Texas Country artist from Carthage, Texas and now a true Austinite. He turned away from a publishing deal with Harlan Howard Publishing in 2009 so he could stay close to Austin instead of returning to Nashville to make albums. He developed a new project with his longtime friend and mentor Walt Wilkins and his band. That project was Brandon Rhyder’s latest album “Head Above Water" that released in February, which included his first No.1 single for “Rock Angel.”
Brandon Rhyder wanted to help out The Caring Smiles Foundation in their efforts to provide free dental care for all kids. The foundation came about in 2010 by young dentists, Dr. Travis and Dr. Kenny who saw a real problem with the kids whose parents could not afford dental care compared with kids whose parents could. They wanted to be able to provide dental treatment for each one of their young patients.
The Back to School Summer Bash 2010 is $12 to attend and you get a plate of BBQ and a live performance by Brandon Rhyder. There will also be a silent auction, face painting, and balloon art. Duke’s BBQ is located at 408 W. Morrow in Georgetown. Head out to make difference in a child’s life!
