Janet Jackson at ACL Live (PHOTOS)
Last night, Janet Jackson rolled into town with her Number Ones tour for a stop at ACL Live at Moody Theater. It is incredible to think that Janet Jackson could fill up the Erwin Center, but chooses to perform at the 2800 seat Moody Theater.
The show started 8:45 p.m. The main floor was set up with seats and there was standing room only tickets on both the left and right side of the stage where the view was limited behind all of the speakers.

The stage was set up with three levels. Drums and backup singers on the top level with the keyboard on the second level and the main stage cleared for Janet and her dancers. The show started with a video introduction by Janet Jackson herself describing the tour and her "Number Ones" album. Next up was what seemed a lengthy Janet Jackson music video, by now the audience was on their feet anxiously awaiting the show to start. First the band, all dressed in white came on stage in the dark, when the stage lights went up, Janet was standing on the second level of the stage with the customary headset microphone in her right ear ready to walk down a short set of steps. Janet and her dancers were dressed in simple black tops, black jeans and black boots. No fancy hand tailored outfits as we have come to expect from the Jacksons.

Although she has been performing for decades, there was not a hint of her slowing down. Her dancers, who are probably half here age, were given a real work out by her tempo and pace. Sweating like a true pop star, she put in all her passion and energy as she sang "Pleasure Principle" followed by "Control." This was a well-produced and fantastic show and an absolute must see for any die hard or even casual Jackson fan.
