Hey cool cats! The International Trombone Festival will be coming to Austin this week, July 7-10, to showcase some 'bone music talent.

According to the festival's website, the University of Texas will host the exhibit and instruction in the music building. But the real live acts will be at the swanky Elephant Room on Friday as Jon Blondell, Austinite trombone musician will be releasing his first album "Live at the Elephant Room" at the venue.

UT trombone group Jazzbonez will be opening the said event. Then after, Jon Blondell takes the stage at around 10:30 p.m.

And if Elephant Room's is not enough, Threadgill's will host the Trombone show on Saturday. Titled "Bone-Nanza," it will again feature Jon Blondell and special guests "The Bone Collection".

Be at the locations and listen to some 'bone music. By the way, Elephant Room cover charge will be  $5 and Threadgill's $10.
